I meant to post this a while back, and Memorial Day seems as appropriate an occasion as any. This report describes where most of the casualties are occurring in Iraq, and what states of the U.S. most of our volunteer soldiers are coming from. This report... ...discusses one of the most infuriating aspects of media coverage. That when our forces start winning battles, the media suddenly doesn't want to report about the Iraq war, and the number of stories about the Iraq war has quantifiably declined. And rather than report that the war is turning in our favor, the media looks for new ways to spin the war negatively, despite facts to the contrary.

I agree with Wonder Boy. Nobody gives a flying fuck about them. That's not what I said. I, for one, care about our soldiers in Iraq, and so do millions of others. The ones who don't give a fuck are liberals and the liberal media. They only care when something bad happens to our troops so they can use it as a weapon against Bush, while slandering our troops in the process. But since the Democrat leadership all want to retreat and abandon Iraq, they arguably care even less about our national security than about our troops, and side against both our soldiers and the nation, as they divide us with partisan rhetoric.

I agree with Wonder Boy. Nobody gives a flying fuck about them. That's not what I said. why are you arguing with some alt? I, for one, care about our soldiers in Iraq, and so do millions of others. but you support the man who put them in a warzone without proper equipment. you support the war they're in which was based upon false intelligence. and you support their continued presence in a dangerous region. I'm glad you don't support me, in fact your hatred of me is probably the cause of my good health. The ones who don't give a fuck are liberals and the liberal media. liberals who want the war ended, thereby bringing the troops home to their families, are bad? the liberal media which is talking about the failures that have cost 4,000 troops their lives are bad? They only care when something bad happens to our troops, so they can use it as a weapon against Bush, while slandering our troops in the process. so Bush is ok for putting them in the war, for lying about the reasons for the war, and for failing to provide the proper support and even armor to keep them safe. somehow liberals are responsible for the problems because they dared to point them out. But since the Democrat leadership all want to retreat and abandon Iraq, they arguably care even less than about our troops, and side against both our soldiers and the nation, as they divide us with partisan rhetoric. this is just an idiotic thing to say. you blame everything on the people who are really only guilty of not stopping Bush before he got us in this mess. make no mistake, the war was started, mismanaged, and iraq fell into chaos all during the republican rule. Bush was president, the Congress was republican run. They made the choices to get us where we are, they are the ones to blame for those mistakes.

Bush was president, the Congress was republican run. They made the choices to get us where we are, they are the ones to blame for those mistakes. And since the Democrats took over both the Senate and Congress, nothing has changed but they're free of blame? I might be moved if the Democrat leadership proposed any strategy to actually help our troops, instead of proposals to de-fund the war so more of them will die until our soldiers are forced to retreat, and leave us even less secure. Just your usual spin and paraphrase in the above quoted post. Nothing really worthy of further response from me. All issues addressed in 100 or more other topics, nothing new, just your standard partisan venom, along with your spiteful intolerance for anyone who disagrees with you.

Liberals who bemoan discrimination, intolerance, restraint of Constitutional freedoms, and promotion of hatred toward various abberant minorities, have absolutely no problem with discriminating against, being intolerant of, restricting Constitutional freedoms of, and directing hate-filled scapegoat rhetoric against conservatives.
EXACTLY what they accuse Republicans/conservatives of doing, is EXACTLY what liberals/Democrats do themselves, to those who oppose their beliefs.
